Ruby Slippers' Home Care and Domestic Service provides help and relief for you or your family if you are unwell, or you or a relative is recovering from an operation, would benefit from a little extra help in the home, or would simply like to regain their independance.

For the busy professional or full time parent, we can provide help if your work/lifestyle balance prevents you from keeping on top of your household jobs or enjoying life to the full.

Based in Darlington County Durham, Ruby Slippers was established by Julie Gardner to give our customers the help they need to live their life to the full. With many years' experience, we deliver professional help from qualified people who really care.

Julie has spent the majority of her career in project management, risk assessment and general management, though her heart lies in working for, and within, the community. She has qualifications in Community Care & Welfare, is a volunteer visitor at St Teresa's Hospice in Darlington and is taking an Open University degree in Health and Social Care.

Our Staff

All Ruby Slippers Staff are security checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. If not already qualified, they will receive NVQ level 2 training in Health and Social Care and will be developed throughout their employment to ensure that both you and they are best equipped to deal with all of your requirements.

A no obligation home visit will be arranged to discuss your requirements in detail and a Personal Specification form including the company's t and c's will be completed and signed by both parties to ensure we understand exactly what you want us to do and when. This information will be reviewed with you every six months.

Our Charges

We work on an hourly rate basis, currently £9.00 per hour for General Cleaning and Household duties and £13.00 an hour for Care Services. Note, there may be variations to the rates, dependent on your requirements, but this will be discussed in your initial Home Visit.
