Registered with the Care Quality Commission. Ruby Slippers are providers of quality Home Care and Support Services in the North East of England, covering Darlington, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland and surrounding areas

Ruby Slippers' Home Care and Support Service provides help and relief for you or your family if you are unwell, or you or a relative is recovering from an operation, would benefit from a little extra help in the home, or would simply like help and support to regain independence.

For the busy professional or full time parent, we can provide help if your work/lifestyle balance prevents you from keeping on top of your domestic household jobs or enjoying life to the full.

Based in Darlington County Durham, Ruby Slippers was established by Julie Gardner to give our customers the help they need to live their life to the full. With many years’ experience, we offer professional support from qualified people who really care.

Julie has spent the majority of her career in project management, risk assessment and general management, though her heart lies in working for, and within, the community. She has qualifications in Community Care & Welfare.

Our Staff

All Ruby Slippers Staff are security checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. If not already qualified, they will receive NVQ level 2 training in Health and Social Care and will be developed throughout their employment to ensure that both you and they are best equipped to deal with all of your requirements.

First Steps

When you contact Ruby Slippers Home Care and Support Service we will arrange a no-obligation home visit to discuss your requirements in detail and together we will complete a Personal Specification form. We will also go through Ruby Slippers’ Terms and Conditions which we’ll both sign to ensure we understand exactly what you want us to do and when. This information will be reviewed with you every six months.

Our Charges

Domestic and General Duties.

-£9.50 per hour in Darlington. (Charge may increase when outside of the Darlington area)

Home Care and Support Services.

-£10.86 per hour in Darlington area. This includes a sitting service. (Once again charge may increase when support is required outside of the Darlington area)

Overnight Care and Support.

-£120- Waking night from 10pm-7am.

-£80- Sleeping night from 10pm-7am.

If a client wishes to be taken out, a mileage charge of £0.40 per mile will be invoiced.
